XLIS ECE & Primary Graduation
It is graduation season at Xi’an Liangjiatan International School. The students from our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program celebrated their move to Primary 1, with an extravagant event in the Black Box theatre. Later that day our Primary 6 students celebrated their transition to the Middle Years Program.
The ECE graduation was perhaps the cutest occasion of the year. Students sang and showed off some fine dancing skills. The performing arts department and homeroom teachers collaborated to create a day to remember. Students were presented with certificates before moving back to the classroom for a pizza party with their parents. Our mission at XLIS is to enable confident, open-minded, global citizens through life-long learning and a sense of community. There was a fine sense of community on the day.
During the Primary 6 graduation there were tears of joy on many faces. We were all there to celebrate our soon to be middle school students. Valedictorians Amy Hubbard and Lais Palmeira shared their journey at XLIS over the years. Amy along with a number of her classmates have been with us since our early years program. It was a joy to see how she and the rest of her classmates have developed international mindedness over the years. Students received their graduation certificates from Dr. Liu our head of school and Mr. Lalor our primary principal, before celebrating with their families.
Another year has passed, and we continue to press on towards our vision, to lead education, through innovation and a student-centered community driven approach.
